Well the weather continues to be gloomy and cold in my part of the world which is just annoying because I live in the South.  One living in the South for long periods of time is just not mentally prepared for such weather and for any of our readers in colder climates, the winter blahs may have set in by now. 

So I thought I would share some running funnies!  If you're planning on doing a marathon this year, make sure to take in the whole experience, including the spectators.  They are cheering you on, some are in costume and the signs range from motivational to downright funny.

Here are some favorites: 

• There's beer at the finish line (The most common sign I've seen at every race)
•  Don’t stop–we’re all watching you
•  Who needs Toenails…Keep Running!
• You’re Almost there (You'll either laugh or want to kill the sign-holder)
• I got a bar of soap for you at the finish line
• Have to pee? Next rest stop 5 miles
• In our minds, you're all Kenyans. 
• Your feet hurt because you are kicking so much butt!
• Your legs will forgive you...eventually. 
• That's not sweat, it's your fat cells crying.
• If it was easy, I would do it.

• This is easier than labor and delivery.
• You're not slow. You're just enjoying the course.
• It'll feel better when it stops hurting.
• Mortuary ahead....look alive

• You're not slow, you just know how to enjoy a race course.
• Finish strong - your fans are waiting!
• Think of all the alone time you are getting.
• Kids at the finish - enjoy your peace and quiet.
• Reality straight ahead.  Enjoy the moment.
• They’re almost running out of free beer at the finish. Better get a move on. (I wuld definitely pick up the pace)
