Happy Valentines Day (a little early)!
There are so many ways to connect love and running that I've been overwhelmed with topic ideas for today.
There are the reasons that we love to run! It keeps us fit; it keeps us social; it's a form of meditation; it gives us a runners high. Whatever your reason, there's love mixed in with your dedication.
There are reasons that we stay in love with running. After a long break due to injury, I had to fall back in love with running to get over the fear of injuring myself again. And I did fall back in love with it again, with the thrill of finishing a long run, the sound of feet hitting pavement keeping pace, and the view of my city from the runner's eye level.
There are couples who find
love through running
. Whether it's the endorphins or the amount of time spent together, running can start relationships.
There is the connection between the
Valentines Day candy
and the necessary calorie burn that will follow!
But the theme that I hit upon draft after draft was that no matter your relationship on a holiday that is so focused on your relationship status, you will always have the love of running in your life.
Enjoy the weekend!
Share your running love stories with us whether it be why you love to run or how you found love while running.
