There are many things that make races worth running - a tech tee at packet pick-up, phenomenal views, runners perks, cool cities to visit,  prestige of finishing, feeling of personal accomplishment and really awesome medals!  As races pile up on the race calendar, it can be the tiniest detail that will sway runners into registering for one event over another.

For some of us, it's definitely the medal!  It's our hard-earned symbol and they are ours to show off!  My favorite thing to see the day after a race are the people making their way through security with huge medals around their necks.
